Dialogues on Sustainability and Life Leadership

This is the wisest thing I've heard anyone say on the subject of "changing the world" so far:

"Look at what realists have done for us. They have led us to war and climate change, poverty on an unimaginable scale, and wholesale ecological destruction. Half of humanity goes to bed hungry because of all the realistic leaders in the world. I tell people who call me 'unrealistic' to show me what their realism has done. Realism is an outdated, overplayed and wholly exaggerated concept."

This guy's message is truly beautiful:

It would be great to have you with us.And then, who knows? I might have the opportunity of visiting Ojai, I enjoy the writings of Krishnamurti and share his fascination with the beauty of your valley.

Ojai is quite special, isn't it :)
I do believe you are right about my really enjoying your rainforest adventures. I have other commitments this fall, but I will seriously consider attending the next one.

Thank you for sharing Paula, and providing yet another opportunity to see the beauty of nature, this time through the eyes of Satish Kumar. I can't help but think how much you would appreciate the beauty of nature in Brazil (i.e. joining us on the retreat in November) , but I'm also fortunate to be familiar with the beauty of the Ojai Valley (you might find it interesting to know that the picture in the header of this community is an adapted picture taken on Meditation Mount in Ojai.). Anyway, I took the opportunity to watch the whole documentary on Google Videos (slightly better quality). Now I'm going out into the forest here on the island where we live in the Stockholm archipelago for the real thing!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi Pausha, You end the blog with a colon, is there more?

"Realistic" goals are those we can think about; imagine, we can only imagine what we know, and what we know is all in the past, so why should we burden our present, and our future, with thoughts and things that have led us into this predicament? Having said that, and to those "realists" out there; let's keep both feet firmly on the ground, and our head in the stratosphere!
